ParaGuard AV Delivers Seamless Solutions at PMW Unlocked
Introduction
In March 2025, the Business Design Centre hosted PMW Unlocked, a multi stage in person event that brought together industry leaders for insightful presentations and engaging discussions. ParaGuard AV was selected for the third consecutive year to provide cutting edge audiovisual (AV) solutions to ensure a seamless and captivating event experience for all attendees. The Brief
The client required a comprehensive audiovisual setup to support a variety of activities across multiple presentation stages. The goal was clear: to ensure flawless audio, dynamic visuals, and seamless integration of AV elements, all while enhancing guest engagement throughout the event. Additionally, a dedicated disco area stage was required for post event entertainment. The challenge was to balance these complex needs while creating an engaging and immersive experience for the audience.

What Made This Project Unique?
This project was particularly unique due to its complexity and scale. With multiple stages in an open plan venue, it required precise AV equipment placement and careful consideration of the flow of sound and visuals across different areas. Our ability to meet the evolving needs of the event set us apart:
- High Resolution 4K Screens: To combat the venue’s brightness, we deployed large, high resolution 4K LED screens, ensuring crisp visuals throughout the event.
- Audio Management: With multiple stages running simultaneously, preventing sound bleed was paramount. Our team implemented both silent headsets and finely calibrated PA systems to ensure clarity and prevent cross stage interference.
- Sustainability in Design: The printed backdrops were designed with sustainability in mind, aligning with the event’s eco-friendly goals.
- Dynamic Stage Management: Throughout the event, the main stage was split and recombined to accommodate different presentations. Our AV setup adapted in real-time to support these transitions without compromising performance.
Challenges
One of the biggest challenges was managing multiple presentation stages in an open-plan venue while ensuring seamless coordination through digital signage. The venue’s brightness required 4K large screens to maintain clear visuals. Audio management was crucial to prevent sound bleed between stages, leading us to employ both silent headsets and carefully balanced PA systems. Additionally, we had to dynamically adapt to the client’s evolving requirements on-site while ensuring the printed backdrops met sustainability objectives. Another key challenge was splitting and recombining the main stage multiple times throughout the event while maintaining AV integrity.
